The rumors are true: Apple starts transition to Intel

It's definitly true that Intel has a better roadmap in its processors (when comparing to IBM), but I still cannot accept this as true.

Is it really a good decision to move to x86 ?

Will OS X (or may be OS XI) run on x86 machine (what I mean is generic PC) ?

A head-to-head competition to M$ Windows in OS market ?
